Authentic Italian Dinner in Belgravia

Il Pampero at The Hari, London - Restaurant Review

Location: Belgravia
Price: £££
Overall: 5/5
Ideal for: Date nights, Celebratory Dinners, Fans of Authentic Italian Food

If you’re looking for a classic Italian dinner in a setting that feels both elegant and warm, Il Pampero at The Hari London is such a treat. I popped in for dinner recently and honestly loved every moment, from the food to the décor to the service.

Atmosphere & First Impressions

Il Pampero has that charming mix of chic and cosy, rich leather seating, soft lighting, and a touch of modern glamour that still feels intimate. The staff were genuinely lovely, attentive without hovering, friendly without being over-familiar. It sets the tone for a relaxed, unhurried meal.

If you want to ease into the evening (or extend it), you can grab a drink in the bar before or after dinner, which feels like its own little sanctuary.

The Menu

A beautifully curated Italian menu with dishes that balance comfort and sophistication.
Here’s what we tried:

  • Pici Cacio e Pepe – Thick Tuscan pasta coated in a creamy Pecorino sauce with a perfect hit of black pepper. Simple and comforting in the best way.

  • Pollo e ’Nduja – Tender chicken paired with a warming, spicy ’nduja sauce that adds richness and depth without overpowering.

  • Pollo alla Milanese – Golden, crisp and perfectly seasoned with that satisfying crunch followed by buttery softness. A classic done really well.

  • Tagliata di Manzo – Juicy, flavourful slices of beef cooked beautifully and served in that rustic, hearty Italian style.

  • Nocciolato – A smooth, hazelnut-forward dessert with lovely texture and a rich but balanced sweetness.

  • Tiramisù – Light, airy and perfectly layered with espresso and mascarpone. A timeless finish done right.

Drinks

You can enjoy drinks in the bar before or after dinner, which is a lovely touch. The bar has the same chic, intimate feel and is perfect for easing into the evening or stretching it out with a nightcap.

Overall

The food was genuinely delicious, the service warm and attentive, and the setting beautiful. Il Pampero delivers that classic Italian comfort with a refined edge, making it a place you’d happily revisit.
