Taglietelle, spaghetti, penne, the choice is yours at .With their first store a success in Westfield Shopping Centre, Pasta Remoli have opened their second restaurant in Finsbury Park. With a modern and funky décor, the restaurant gives off a casual vibe and was abuzz with people on the drizzly weekday night I visited.

What I Want Seconds?

The waiter was very helpful in explaining the process in Pasta Remoli in which you choose your pasta, sauce and extras. There are also specials available,  however there were no vegetarian specials on my visit. For our starters we chose to share the bread, olive oil and balsamic along with the burrata cheese salad. The bread was very fresh and scrummy and the burrata dish was refreshing as a starter.

For our mains, I opted for the tagliatelle with creamy mushroom sauce and buffalo mozzarella whilst my dining companion had the truffle and mushroom ravioli with cherry tomato and ricotta sauce. We both fully enjoyed our dishes. The pasta was fresh, delicious and filing and we had no complaints at all with our food.

For dessert, I chose the fresh ricotta and chocolate cake which was absolutely divine. I didn't expect such a cheesecake-type texture and was pleasantly surprised by the taste and the portion size. My companion had the lemon tart which was gorgeous to look at and proved to be tangy with sharp citrus flavours - a perfect way to brighten up a rainy Monday evening.

When I visited Pasta Remoli, the waiter informed me that the menu would be changing soon as they wanted to make the new branch have more of a restaurant vibe instead of the fast food atmosphere of the Westfield branch. The new menu is now available in Finsbury Park.

Could I Afford Seconds?

The prices are very reasonable at Pasta Remoli. Starters begin at £2.50 and range up to £8.50. The pasta on the new menu can be as little as £8 with optional extras which builds up the price. They also have a selection of Italian dishes separate to the pasta menu however they do scrimp on the vegetarian dishes here.

Pasta Remoli currently offer a free bottle of wine to a table of 4 people and a special offer on Sundays with a meal and alcoholic drink for only £12 which is a great offer for the quality of the food.

Overall?

Pasta Remoli is a great place to buy pasta for a reasonable price. The relaxed atmosphere and generous staff make for a pleasant dining experience. Pasta Remoli even sell fresh sauces and pasta at the front of the restaurant so you can try making dishes at home which is a great idea if you fancy making something special in the comfort of your own kitchen.
