Four Seasons Resort, The Nam Hai is a luxurious beachfront resort located in the historic town of Hoi An, Vietnam. Nestled along the pristine white sands of Ha My Beach, the resort offers a tranquil and idyllic retreat for travellers seeking a blend of luxury, culture, and natural beauty.

I couldn’t believe just how beautiful the hotel, and especially the views from the hotel were. The beachfront setting was certainly breathtaking and I knew I was in for an unforgettable experience.

The resort boasts stunning architecture inspired by traditional Vietnamese design, featuring spacious villas and pavilions set amidst lush gardens and serene lotus ponds. Each villa offers a harmonious blend of modern comforts and traditional elements, providing a truly immersive and authentic experience. The hotel includes fantastic world-class amenities, including a serene spa offering rejuvenating treatments, multiple swimming pools, a fitness centre, and exceptional dining options showcasing Vietnamese and international cuisines.

As a massive coffee fan, I loved the chance to indulge in a wide selection of ethically sourced and expertly brewed coffees and teas. In fact I developed a personal ritual of enjoying a late afternoon coffee by the sea and using the time to take a moment and appreciate the good things in life.

Each of the drinks I ordered were prepared with precision and pride, and all had a unique and quirky touch to their presentation. It was also nice to savour each sip knowing it was contributing to the preservation of the environment and the empowerment of local communities.

The Fish & Seafood class provides a hands-on learning experience that takes guests on a journey through Vietnam's coastal culinary traditions.

The class begins with a visit to the local fish market, which was a fantastic experience! I loved being able to see local, sourced sustainably and freshly caught fish from nearby waters being sold the traditional way, like it had been done for hundreds of years. It was an incredibly wholesome experience to buy the ingredients, including spices, vegetables and fruit that we were going to use in our class.

During the class, we had the chance to learn about the different types of seafood used in Vietnamese cuisine and gain invaluable insights into the proper techniques for cleaning, filleting, and preparing these ingredients.

We created traditional favourites like grilled fish wrapped in banana leaves, delicate seafood salads and fragrant seafood soups, allowing us to explore the diverse flavours and aromatic herbs that make Vietnamese seafood cuisine so unique.

I really enjoyed this experience and would recommend it to guests who are passionate food enthusiasts or simply curious about Vietnamese culinary traditions.
