Review: Qatari masterclass with Theo Randall

Review: Qatari masterclass with Theo Randall

I’ve been looking at visiting Qatar for some time now, as the eternal sunshine, luxurious hotels and stylish lifestyle seem to be calling out to me! So when I received an invitation to brush up my Qatari cooking skills with Theo Randall, I couldn’t help but oblige.

In celebration of Qatar International Food Festival, we gathered at the Good Housekeeping Institute in Soho and put on our aprons to get cooking! On the menu was a traditional, delicious Qatari dish called 'Qashid', cooked with seabass, rice and chard.

As well as demonstrating the recipe and helping us put it together, Theo also talked us through his travels in Qatar, including the Souks, restaurants and his spice haul. This really wet our appetites to try our dishes and once they were complete, we sat around the table and dug in!

Theo certainly ignited my desire to visit Qatar and sample the traditional cuisine. Here are a few snapshots of the day!

Special thanks to Qatar Airways for their hospitality!
