Nestled amongst the beautiful boutique stores of Pavillion Road is this beautiful all-day restaurant. Hans Bar and Grill functions as a relaxed yet stylish cafe, bar, and restaurant and provides the perfect escape from the bustle of Chelsea and Knightsbridge High Street.

We visited Hans Bar and Grill for dinner and we sat inside in the modern dining room. The restaurant is also open for breakfast, lunch, drinks and just a casual coffee too.

Food?

The food at Hans Bar and Grill is rooted in classic British recipes and uses the best British produce to re-create traditional flavours with added flair.

We started with delicious crispy scampi prawns served with a fresh spring onion, garlic and red chilli dip, as well as a salmon ceviche which delivered the perfect balance of flavours.

For my main course I opted for a classic of grilled lamb cutlets served with salad and sweet potato fries. Unfortunately the lamb cutlets were quite undercooked, but when I asked for them to be cooked slightly more, the kitchen was nice enough to send a whole new fresh plate. The second round of lamb cutlets were much more to my liking and were very succulent and tender. My husband tried the 28 day aged ribeye with french fries which was a quality piece of well-cooked meat.

I couldn’t wait to try dessert, as there was one dish on the menu in particular that had caught my eye. We tried the fresh brioche doughnuts to share, which were served with chocolate and dulce de leche sauce. These were scrumptious sugar-coated doughnuts which were a delight to dip into the sauce and enjoy!

We tried a few cocktails at Hans Bar and Grill including smooth Espresso Martinis with dessert, all of which are made by their expert mixologist at the bar, who was kind enough to give us some tips on how to make the perfect Espresso Martini at home!

Price?

Dining at Hans Bar and Grill is at the higher-end of the cost scale, with our starters costing £12 each and our mains courses between £32- £35. Cocktails are priced at more of a standard £13 each. These prices are to be expected for the lush Chelsea area, and the quality of service and atmosphere go a long way to justify the prices.

Overall?

This was my first time dining on Pavillion Road and I really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere of the street and the restaurant. Hans Bar and Grill is a classy and slick restaurant which would make the ideal destination for drinks, a casual lunch, and a luxurious dinner too.
