L'oud des Eurasie is a newly launched and very charming restaurant  offering a fusion of French and Lebanese fine dining. Located just off Kings Road in Chelsea, my imagination is instantly captured by the extravagant and swanky Lebanese decor mixed with dainty European interiors.

L'oud des Eurasie is a small restaurant with a intimate boutique feeling. This makes it the perfect setting for a romantic night or even a fun filled ladies night.

Would I Want Seconds?

We started the meal with cocktails which all looked very enticing. We tried the lychee cocktail and orange blossom cocktail with a little bit of fizz and star fruit too.

Our starters included a seafood medley which featured prawns, scallops, peppers and fig all on cocktail sticks resting on a fun shaped savoury biscuit. The seafood was marinated in tasty spices and I don't eat figs very often but I really enjoyed this combination.

Marrying the Lebanese flavours and European foods further, we tasted some succulent lamb chops in a stew, some gorgeous soft cous-cous jewelled with pomegranates that burst as you chew them and the perfect consistency of rice with shreds of what looked like coconut and onion.

I very much enjoyed the naan and roti which was accompanied by an addictive helping of hummusbaba ganoush and a mango dipping sauce that was far too spicy for me! We then tasted some beef which was cooked as a large joint with sultanas and currants.

The cocktails or should I say mocktails as they were alcohol free, kept on coming with very sweet pomegranate flavours and passion fruit flavours. My guest stocked up on the lassi, which I'm told wasn't as sweet as the others but smooth with a pistachio and honey flavour, however being dairy free I couldn't sample it.

Lastly we tried the lightly seasoned minced beef in baked aubergine but I was struggling anymore by this point and decided I would return again to try more from their impressive and extensive menu, especially as I do adore Lebanese cuisine!

Could I Afford Seconds?

L’oud des Eurasie is a luxurious restaurant and the menu reflects this feel both in terms of ingredients and prices.

The extensively sumptuous menu features delicate starters such as braised pigeon breast at £17 and curried organic quail priced at £14.

There is an array of choices of main courses including gari and kaffir lime roasted poussins for £21, crusted medallions of venison at £25 as well as seared saddle of rabbit priced at £23. Although these are high end prices, the quality of the food does well to justify this.

The dessert menu is divine, as is expected from a restaurant with French links. It's highlights include white chocolate fondant with mixed berry compote and lavender honeycomb for £9 as well as crepe suzette soufflé at £11.

Additionally L'oud des Eurasie also have an all day brunch menu  which offers a variety of small plates which cost between £5 to £11.

Overall: 3/5

L’oud des Eurasie is a beautiful small restaurant in which the décor is stunning.

This makes it the perfect venue for a special occasion and as the food is priced at the high end this is unlikely to be a venue for a causal gathering.

However the extensive menu and caters for a variety of tastes, making sure there is something for everyone.
