Naumi Singapore - My Luxury Weekend Away at an Urban Oasis

Naumi Singapore - Luxury Hotel Review

Location: Central Business District (CBD), Singapore
Price: ££
Value for Money: 5/5
Overall: 4/5
Perfect for: Central Location, Infinity Pool

Naumi Singapore is a stylish retreat in the centre of the busy hubbub of Singapore. This tranquil oasis offers guests the chance to explore the best of Singapore whilst staying in a calming base.

Not only are the rooms designed with classic high fashion in mind, but the 10th floor infinity pool and local art located around the hotel, all gives Naumi an upscale feel.

Location

Naumi is located just off Beach Road, and as such is walking distance to many of the best sights in the city as well as various MRT stations and shopping centres. It’s also literally opposite Raffles Hotel, which you can walk through to get to many of the sites.

The location is perfect for visiting Esplanade as well as the National Gallery of Singapore, both of which we walked to whilst staying at the hotel.

Naurmi is also walking distance from a variety of foodie gems, including YY Kafei Dian, a must-visit HK Style cafe serving delicious kaya toast and kopi.

Decor

Naumi encompasses neutral tones and clean lines throughout the hotel, with a smattering of specially commissioned local art. Some of my favourites include a giant graffiti wall mural on the exterior of the building, as well as amusing interactive art piece in the hotel lobby.

This modern minimalism feeds into the rooms too, as all 73 rooms are designed with a similar aesthetic in mind.

Accommodation

There are a few types of rooms to choose from which vary to suit different types of travellers and budgets.

We stayed in Gabrielle & Camellia, their suite named after Gabrielle ‘Coco’ Chanel.

The room exudes chic luxury as soon as you enter, as the 43 sqm monochromatic space contains everything you need for a relaxing stay. Our room was spacious enough for my husband and I to spread out and have a serene stay.

The large bed is draped with 300 thread-count Egyptian Cotton Bedding, whilst the bathroom contains a rain shower with Antipodes amenities and a large bathtub.

All rooms come with a Nespresso machine, complimentary minibar and high-speed free Wi-Fi and Apple TV.

Breakfast

Breakfast is served buffet style on the ground floor by reception. The offering isn’t vast but does include the basics such as hot drinks, yoghurts and Western hot dishes like bacon, eggs and sausages.

We didn’t dwell too much over the hotel breakfast and headed out instead to enjoy the abundance of foodie offerings in Singapore.

Dining

Florian Restaurant is located on the ground floor of Naumi hotel, and although they are not directly affiliated, guests can book to dine there.

Cloud 9 is the poolside rooftop bar that looks out over the Singapore skyline. It’s for hotel guests only and a serene place to unwind with alfresco drinks. The bar isn’t always manned so ordering may take a while.

Facilities

The rooftop infinity pool located on the 10th floor is a lovely surprise, as it offers almost panoramic views of Singapore’s city skyline. It’s a fantastic place to relax both day and night, and especially to see the city lights illuminate the horizon. Guests can have drinks and bar food delivered here to enjoy on the rooftop.

The pool is for guests only, but is more of a leisure pool rather than one for doing laps in. There is a fitness centre however for those who want to get some exercise in.

Overall:

Naumi is an urban hideaway which is the perfect base for exploring the best of Singapore. I loved our luxury room and the fact that we could alternate from lounging by the pool and having a relaxing bath, to being in the centre of the city’s nightlife within a matter of minutes.

For those who love the city vibe and the tranquillity of luxury getaway, this is the perfect hotel which expertly combines the two.
